If you aren't familiar with the work of British photographer Platon you should check his stuff out. You'll see lots of stuff that you'll recognize on his site, he photographed some of the most powerful and influential people in the world. This is the kind of stuff you can do at home with your dSLR and an umbrella'd speedlight. But the devil, er, the quality, is in the details. And Platon's example is an excellent lead to follow if you are looking to expand your thinking without expanding your gear bag.

One thing to pay close attention to while watching these videos is the way he interacts with his subjects. Once the light is set up, that's really what makes the photos.

I had neglected my deviant watch list for quite a while, and a number od works collected in a list of... 750..
Yesterday I went through a hundred, and today I completed the rest of them. I wanted to clean up and, well, be up to date.
I wanna say one thing to you all- I hate you I'm al fucked up, overfilled and exhausted. Wonder what dreams I shall have tonight...

I did absolutely nothing today...
Got sober though...

I was growing increasingly disappointed with Photomatics and then realized that I had a copy of Mediachance Dynamic Photo HDRi. It is an outdated version, but it works so much better, and the controlls are way easier to understand, not to mention that they are alot more flexible. Do try it out!
I'm waiting for my new panoramic head to be shipped. Some of the images I posted recently suffered from some terrible paralax problems and stitching them was a real bitch...
